Pigskin Pigout, JJ's Harley

The 13th Annual Pigskin Pigout will be held this Thursday.
The fully hosted evening begins at 5:30 p.m. A $100 admission fee benefits Na Koa, the University of Hawaii football booster club.

UH football coaches will be in attendance, and live auction items include interisland trips, tickets to the final Saturday game at Yankee Stadium, a NASCAR package in Las Vegas and many others.
In conjunction with the event, former UH coach June Jones has put his Harley up for sale on eBay. Starting bid is $10,000, and the auction ends Friday. Proceeds go to Na Koa and the June Jones Foundation. Here's a shot of the bike:

Sweeeet. Tombo needs to learn how to ride a motorcycle.... and make $10k in three days. Just so happens I'm going to Vegas on Friday. Awww yeah.

Hey Tombo. Good stuff as usual. U da man. I hope Hawaii recognizes that JJ still loves UH and it was the best thing for the school and da Program. Hopefully, we can ride the wave and get more funding for all of UH, and get the athletic program in shape. Gotta love that JJ's foundation is still in place, and he will return after his stunt at SMU. I hope JJ and staff have a great season, and we already know that I BELIEVE in our boys. Good to hear that Bulla is getting reps. We want fresh OL during this season.

Hey KB, I agree with you that JJ still loves Hawaii and UH. I still think that what he didn't like was "working" with Frazier and he felt he needed to get away from him--I don't blame him at all as I wanted to get away from Frazier and I didn't even work with him.

Still I like Coach Mack and look forward to seeing what he and UH can do this season and all subsequent seasons. This year's games are much more challenging and many away games against stronger teams. Even if they lose some games, I feel that they will put up a great game.

I found these very funny quotes:

Coach Zorn and I have a great rapport. On the first play of the last drive, I hit that long pass to Billy McMullen on the sideline. That's usually not the primary route on that play, it's just that's the way the defense played us, they let McMullen go free.

It's funny, I remember running to the sideline saying, 'I'm really sorry, but he was wide open.' Coach was laughing, saying, ?No, good job, good job.'

And then [the Jets] blitzed me and I was able to throw the hot read to Jason Goode for the touchdown.

I think Coach Zorn was just excited that I was out there playing and having fun in a real intense situation. I think he was excited to see me out there having some success.

Coach has told me not to let my head get too big, of course. I appreciate him for that.

When I was growing up, I always believed that when a quarterback was doing bad, that's when a coach should really go easy on him. But when a quarterback is doing well, that's when he should be tough on you.

Coach has been that way with me, and I appreciate it.

I know this is not UH Football related, but... I just saw on ESPN College Football live that Coach June Jones just placed last year's SMU record breaking starting QB as 3rd string QB. Currently there are 2 freshman listed as #1 & #2. Interesting...

    Tombo,

Good Luck at Las Vegas! Hope you win at least enough to pay for motorcycle lessons--and hopefully $10,000 more.

I guess we cannot expect you to post 24/7/365. Better now than before the season starts.
