Here's this week's results for our opponents. Not so pretty win by our Warriors yesterday, but hey, its a win. Keeps us in contention for the WAC title, and gives us the momentum going into this week's game against the Aggies.

Go Warriors!!!

Hawaii 16, Idaho 14

Squeeze the cheeks! HawaiiAthletics.com has the game summary of Hawaii's 16-14 nail-biting victory over the Idaho Vandals.
The University of Hawai'i Warrior football team escaped with a hard-earned 16-14 road win over Idaho Saturday afternoon at the Kibbie Dome. Kenton Chun nailed a 35-yard field goal with just 32 seconds left to lift the Warriors to a crucial road conference victory.

Week 8's Opponent's Results

Here's this past weekend's results for the Warriors opponents. Lots of teams with byes, and a big game between Nevada and Fresno that might determine the WAC champion.

(I also need to apologize too for not upholding the awesomeness of this blog. Coupled with my recording PC out of commission, this fall has been an incredibly time consuming one outside of UH football, and I am sorry for not being able to keep this blog up to date as it once was. Hopefully this is just a temporary thing and both Tombo and I can return it to glory once again).

Hawaii 45, New Mexico State 34

That's more like it, though it looks like the team is really banged up. Let's hope the injuries aren't serious. Here's HawaiiAthletics.com's game summary with links to a box score and post-game interviews.
UH never trailed, scoring the first two touchdowns of the game and cruising to its 10th straight Homecoming win and 12th in the last 13 seasons. Bryant Moniz passed for two touchdowns and rushed for two more to get UH back on the winning track after a disappointing road loss at San Jose State the week prior.

Updated opponent's schedules & results

Don't have any video news this weekend (but maybe that's a good thing) as my PC is on the fritz again.
I do have my updated opponent's schedules however to keep track of how everyone else is doing on our schedule.

If I can the PC working again, maybe there'll be some WiTP highlights (Salas had 77 yards on 8 rec today in a loss to the Packers).

Video: News of the Ruston win, Opponent's schedules

My PC is back up and running. Here's last night's news covering our Warriors' win at La Tech. Aloha Ruston!

And I've also just updated my weekly opponent's schedules to keep track of how our past and future foes do all season.

Hawaii 44, Louisiana Tech 26

HawaiiAthletics.com has a game summary with links to a box score and post-game notes and interviews.
UH put together a solid all-around performance with all three phases getting into the scoring act. Bryan Moniz tossed four touchdown passes; Richard Torres returned an interception for a touchdown and Tank Hopkins scored on a fumble return following a botched kickoff return by the Bulldogs in the second half.

Moniz finished 34-of-55 for 410 yards. It was the second straight game that Moniz threw for more than 400 yards and the fifth time in his career he surpassed the 400-yard mark.

Royce Pollard recorded a career-high 10 receptions for 216 receiving yards and three touchdowns and became just the 11th Warrior to eclipse the 200-yard barrier in a game.
