Warriors in the Pros: Colt, Bess, LaBoy, Herc, Elam, Pisa, Etc. (w/UPDATES)

FINAL UPDATE: Vids of the local boys doing well, compiled by CC from KGMB, KITV and KHON.

======

Colt Brennan went 4 of 5 for 79 yards and threw what turned to out to be the game-winning touchdown pass, leading the Redskins to a 13-10 preseason victory over the Jets. His one incompletion was a drop by the receiver.

UPDATE: Here's a video from NFL.com that shows Colt's TD pass, starting at the 2:22 mark.

UPDATE 2: Here's an audio interview with Colt (WMA file). He gives a shoutout to all the Hawaii fans at the end. Happy 25th birthday to Colt.

UPDATE 3: "kylesthayer" posted a video of the game-winning drive.

UPDATE 4
: The Washington Times has an article titled, Brennan steals spotlight from Favre. Colt talks about the TD pass:
"They had been blitzing a lot and the play before that they got us on a blitz," said Brennan, who was celebrating his 25th birthday. "So I was anticipating blitz and they blitzed again. We had the tight end going over the middle and there was only [safety James Ihedigbo] guarding him. I threw it off my back foot. It wasn't a very good ball. The defender had to go up and try to make a play on it, too, instead of securing the tackle. Jason was able to grab the ball, spin out and nobody was there. When they blitz, either they win or we win and on that one, we won."

Davone Bess caught 2 passes for 12 yards in the Dolphins game against the Jags. WQAM Sports Radio had an interview with Bess on Friday.

Travis LaBoy had seven tackles, including two sacks in the Cardinals vs Chiefs game.

LaBoy's teammate Hercules Satele was profiled in the Star-Bulletin today.

Jason Elam kicked field goals of 25, 35 and 40 yards in the Falcons loss to the Colts.

Pisa Tinoisamoa had one tackle for the Rams in their win over the Chargers.

Jeff Ulbrich had 2 tackles for the 49ers in their game against the Packers. Teammates Isaac Sopoaga didn't log any stats, and Ashley Lelie didn't play due to his calf injury.

Leonard Peters had one tackle in the Bears loss to the Seahawks. Ryan Grice-Mullen didn't have any stats.

UPDATE: A few WSN members said LP made a lot of good plays that didn't show up in the stats.
YES! Two pass hurries (one could be recorded as a sack because he caused an intention grounding) two key ST tackles and almost a game winning TD on a blocked punt by a teammate that took a weird bounce over his head while he was in the backfield with no Seahawks in sight. GREAT JOB Peters! Should of put him in earlier. I think he should make the roster on his special teams play.

What happened to Jason Rivers? I thought he signed a free agent contract with someone. Anyone know who he signed with?

Wow. I know that it's just the preseason, but Colt is kicking some okole. His passer rating must be among the tops in the preseason ranks. I'll bet the QBs drafted ahead of him are not doing as well as he is at this very moment.

No matter that Colt Brennan still get the funny arm throw, he is a winner and is showing it again and again. Way to go Colt. I hope that the NFL sees that the Hawaii QB "system" is a great training ground for the NFL.
