Training Camp Day 13 Reports

UPDATE: Tonight's Chawan Cut compilation -- KHON's Kanoa Leahey profiles cornerback Calvin Roberts, KITV's Robert Kekaula talks to Brent Rausch about playing 8-man football in high school, and KGMB's Liz Chun previews tomorrow's Wahine Football Clinic. Chun also reports that Solomon Elimimian sat out today's practice with a sprained foot.

======

Stephen Tsai has a Monday practice report. An excerpt:
• Dylan LInkner, who moved to left wideout Saturday, received extended work.
• Linebacker Solomon Elimimian did not practice because of an ankle injury, which is not considered to be serious.
• Right tackle Keoni Steinhoff did not practice today because of a tweaked ankle. He is expected to resume practicing in a couple of days. Aaron Kia and Brysen Ginlack practiced at right tackle.
On SportsHawaii, Raudi and Kahaluu Imua Warriors have practice reports. Here's an excerpt of KIW's report:
I was there most of pratice and I'm a happy man. Yes the O still needs some work but over all it was a good practice for all. Raudi is right on all accounts. The Oline improved, one hugh reason was Letuli was starting right tackle with Estes center and Kia LT and Hisatake looked like he was on as LG and Bully RG. It was a little confusing because this was the "Hair Squad" with huge poundage and I saw their profiles and I was not looking for numbers just how well they played together and I was Happy.
And on WSN, bowstock thinks there may be a QB controversy.

    Hey Tombo.. good to c u again!

    I'm getting nervous about Rausch as the starter vs. Alexander. Alexander 4 of 4 with a TD, all throws were nice tight spirals, vs Rausch 3 of 12, INT, ZERO TD's throwing wobbly balls!!!

    I'm just glad we're seeing all this early, still have time to make the right adjustments before playing in the Swamp.

    hey warriorx, players and coaches have said that brent throws a nice ball, so maybe he just had a bad day. plus gotta take the reports with a grain of salt, as they sometimes contradict each other. can't believe the seasons starts in less than two weeks.

    Yup, the big day is only 11 days away. ( I know because I have a days to big game countdown on my calendar). I've been so excited that I've been on NCAA '09 every day, UH just won it's 2nd consecutive Nat'l Title!!!! hehe!

    Hey Tombo, do you know if today and tomorrows practice is closed off for every one including media? I hope some one is there that can relay what's going on. Too bad no body can put up streaming video of the 1-1's, 7-7's, and 11-11's, but than again, don't want the opposing teams to see the footage.
