Jim Donovan Recommended
For UH athletic director. Via the Advertiser:
Manoa Chancellor Virginia Hinshaw is recommending to the University of Hawaii Board of Regents that Jim Donovan be named the school's athletic director in a five-year apppointment, it was revealed today.
The 15-member board is scheduled to meet Thursday and Friday at Honolulu Community College.UPDATE: Here's Dave Reardon's article on it.
All indicators point toward Jim Donovan being announced as University of Hawaii athletic director next week.
The name of the former UH football player and associate athletic director appears on the Board of Regents agenda for next week.
"I am aware my name has been forwarded to the regents," Donovan said this afternoon. "But out of deference and respect to the university and the chancellor and the regents I will make no comment until the meeting next week."
