A fan called in saying he got pelted with chewed-up hot dog buns by Fresno fans. But that just made the victory all the more satisfying.
Mack says he would love to schedule Stanford in the future.
Mack had 54 phone calls after the Fresno game. The first one was from June Jones, who left a message congratulating Mack, saying it was a great win for the school.

Interesting notes about the show.
I wonder why Coach Mack cannot comment about the overtime kick penalty. Did the WAC commissioner request or demand this? I trust Coach Mack and understand that he would comment if he could--I would also understand that if he has been "ordered" not to comment, then that means UH was probably correct but the WAC doesn't want to confirm that publicly.
Also nice to read about JJ calling to congratulate Coach Mack on the win--I still believe in JJ's good wishes for UH.
And also thank you for allowing me to win in your contest on a technicality--for what its worth, I am most willing to share the "prize with colt, CC and anonymous (whomever he is).

i didn't get the feeling that he was ordered not to comment -- more like he was just choosing his words carefully and not wanting to step on anyone's toes. he seemed satisfied with what they told him.

I think that if a WAC coach complains about the ref's too much, there might be a fine?

Got it from the articles this morning--OK, "judgment call" and the coaches cannot complain. So bad calls can always be brushed aside as "judgment call" and the officials don't have to justify anything and can remain bad. Sorry but something doesn't seem right here--I guess if someone wants to screw any team, they can. Hope it is not always against UH.
