WitP: Colt, Ikaika, Kynan, Elam

Colt Brennan now has an official website! Check it out.

Via the unofficial Colt Brennan Blog.

Redskins coach Jim Zorn says Colt was less disciplined in his second preseason outing.
Zorn said Colt Brennan was "less disciplined" in his second preseason game, moving around when he should have stayed put and vice versa. Brennan said he has been dealing with a tight hamstring for a couple of weeks, but he thinks it has healed the past couple of days.
Dave Birkett of the Oakland Press has good things to say about Ikaika Alama-Francis.
...second-year end Ikaika Alama-Francis has had a good first three weeks of camp. His versatility — he plays tackle in nickel situations — should make the Lions more dangerous rushing the quarterback.
Kynan Forney is now practicing at second-team right guard for the Atlanta Falcons.
Right guard Kynan Forney, a starter since 2001, has lost his job to Harvey Dahl, who has just five games of NFL experience since Dallas signed him as an undrafted free agent in 2005.
And Forney's teammate Jason Elam talks about working on "the whole accuracy thing" after missing two long field goals in his preseason debut with his new team.
Elam evaluated tape of his kicking motion during the game and in practice leading into the loss and realized his mechanics were off. He has spent the past two days making corrections.

"I was really cutting the ball," Elam said. "I've been working on some stuff, and I'm starting to feel a lot more comfortable."

He said he typically isn't as good in preseason games, so the poor start is nothing unusual.

"I was thinking all the way back to 1994 and people were calling for my job back then during the preseason," he said. "I missed a couple last year early on and things went really well in the regular season."
