WitP: Colt, Pisa, Bess, Mauia, Lelie, Ikaika

Colt Brennan had a decent game tonight, going 4 of 8 for 37 yards, with no touchdowns or turnovers. Check out this post about Colt on LizKauai's blog -- she has some images and graphics created by Redskins/CB fans.

UPDATE: Here's an audio interview (WMA file) with Colt after the game. Sounds look he had to deal with some rookie hazing! Some photos of Colt from the game can be found here.

Pisa Tinoisamoa logged 3 tackles in a preseason game against the Titans.

Reagan Mauia caught one pass for 9 yards, while teammate Davone Bess caught 3 passes for 17 yards and returned a kickoff for 18 yards in a game against the Bucs. Omar Kelly of the Sun-Sentinel blog writes that Bess was a bright spot at receiver, for better or worse.
The good: David Kircus and Davone Bess, two of training camp's more productive receivers, each caught three passes against Tampa Bay. Kircus finally showed Dolphins fans the playmaking ability I'd been talking about for weeks.

The bad: Kircus and Bess each individually tripled the output of Ernest Wilford, Derek Hagan and Ted Ginn Jr., who each caught one pass.
Ashley Lelie, who didn't play in yesterday's 49ers-Raiders game, isn't expected to play next week. Teammates Jeff Ulbrich and Isaac Sopoaga didn't have any stats from the game.

And Detroit Lions coach Rod Marinelli had some good things to say about Ikaika Alama-Francis' perfomance in Thursday's preseason game against the Giants.
Another second-year player trying to make an impression is left defensive end Ikaika Alama-Francis, who is battling with veteran Jared DeVries for the starting job.

"His speed really showed. I mean, he is fast,'' Marinelli said of Alama-Francis. "He took a tight end one time and knocked him back into the run game. Steps by steps, he did some good things in special teams and he can help us. He's just got to keep doing it.''
