JJ, Gilbride, Tomey, Adam Leonard, Clapp

June Jones has been invited to participate in the January 20th "Parade of Champions," and may actually show up.
"I told him we want him to come back so we can say mahalo for all his years of service and contributions to Hawai'i," said Hannemann, who said he spoke with Jones on Thursday evening. "He said it's on his priority list, and he would make every effort to come."
Dave Reardon writes about Wes Suan and Dan Morrison joining June Jones at SMU.
“I’ll still have a home in Hawaii, but I will really miss the islands, especially the great fans,” Suan said. “They were wonderful.”

Offensive line and special teams coach Dennis McKnight was also considering Jones’ offer.
Stacy Kaneshiro writes of NY Giants offensive coordinator Kevin Gilbride being interested in the head coaching job.

Ferd Lewis writes that while Dick Tomey isn't interested in the coaching position, he may be interested in the AD position.
Former University of Hawai'i football coach Dick Tomey is said to remain "very interested" in the vacant athletic director's job at UH and is not pursuing the head football coaching vacancy, according to friends.
Tomey was a leading contender for the athletic director's job in 2002 when it went to Frazier and said, "I went down that road before and I'm not interested in doing that in the same way."
Speaking of Frazier, he may be in line for a new job.
Frazier's name is being widely floated in the track and field community for the just-opened position of USA Track & Field chief executive officer, several people have said.
Adam Leonard talks to Michael Tsai about being part of the head coach selection committee.
"Hopefully, I'll get to speak for the team," Leonard said. "There's a leadership quality that we're looking for. We want a person that cares about the players on the team. We don't want to be just a stop for somebody trying to build his resume. The coach should be dedicated to the players on this team and to the state."

Leonard said selecting from one of the existing core of assistant coaches — defensive coordinator Greg McMackin is rumored to be the frontrunner — would help with the transition, but he's keeping an open mind.

"In any situation when a head coach leaves, the other coaches on the staff are able to help with a smoother transition because they've already built a relationship with the players," Leonard said. "At the same time, you never know if there's a head coach from the outside that can come in and maintain the flow."
