For Real This Time, Most Likely

First there was Drop Dead Monday Thursday. Then there was Drop Dead Wednesday. And now it's Drop Dead Friday. Actually before that there were many other Drop Dead Days in various forms. In any case, you know what to do. Hold your breath and wait for the anti-climactic press release.

Garret from UH Warrior Quotes finds this PalmBeachPost.com blog entry with Friday morning's Dolphins mini-camp depth chart. Warriors in bold.
FIRST TEAM

WR Chris Chambers
WR Marty Booker
LT Vernon Carey
LG Drew Mormino
C Samson Satele
RG Rex Hadnot
RT L.J. Shelton

Samson on the first team! Reagan on the second team! Tala at left tackle! That's excellent news. Let's hope they do well in mini-camp this weekend.

UPDATE: Here's what Dolphins coach Cam Cameron said about Samson and the other guy practicing with the first team:
Dolphins draft choices Samson Satele and Drew Mormino both worked with the first unit offensive line in Friday's morning practice.

"We wouldn’t say we have a first-team line," Cameron said. "They are working significantly with the first group. There is competition. They both showed they both had a maturity. Hud (Houck) and I talked and sometimes you can move them up too quickly. We just sensed that it wasn’t going to be too big for them. Are they going to be the starters? We don’t know. The most pleasing thing is it hasn’t been too big for them. The last time we’ve done this, we did it with Nick Hardwick and Shane Olivea. So we’ve done it and this is kind of how we did it. If it is too big for them, I’ll talk to them, ‘if we step back in the second group, don’t consider that a negative.’ So we are still evolving in the offensive line and it’s nice to see young men who come in and just play ball and it isn’t too big for them."

And this article about the Eagles rookie running backs, while mostly about Tony Hunt, has a great picture of Nate Ilaoa, who looks very fit, like he's lost some weight. Right on.

And from yesterday's Warrior Beat blog, Stephen Tsai writes that incoming safety Le'Marcus Gibson has signed a scholarship agreement.
"I'm ready to play for Hawai‘i," said Gibson, a recent graduate of Harrison Central High School in Gulfport, Miss.
Gibson, who is 5 feet 11 and 197 pounds, said he is set to receive a summer workout guide from the UH conditioning coaches.
He said he will move to Hawai‘i in late July.
