Tyler Graunke Update

Dave Reardon writes that Tyler Graunke has fully recovered from his hand injury.
"I don't feel like I've lost any zip," said Graunke, the first backup to Heisman Trophy candidate Colt Brennan. "Everything feels normal and good to go."

Graunke suffered a bruised right hand in practice April 23 when defensive lineman Siave Seti accidentally hit Graunke's hand with his own.

Pain and swelling prevented Graunke from finishing spring practice.

He returned to informal drills and weightlifting last week.

"Last week I started lifting again, and it got really sore after the first day," Graunke said. "This week, two-for-two (weightlifting sessions) and no problem.

"And my arm and hand feels fine after throwing, three or four times now."
Great news. And hopefully there's some great news at the end of today, which is Drop Dead For Real This Time Day, Maybe. Here's hoping one of the mystery teams makes the right choice!
