And Miami's offensive line troubles is giving Samson Satele (and hopefully Tala Esera) a big opportunity.
Q: What's minicamp been like?======
A: It's good. I'm just learning from the vets and stuff, just asking them questions. They're giving me advice, telling me what to do. Basically, everything's just going fast and I'm just trying my best to keep up with the pace. But it's going pretty good.
Q: What's the biggest adjustment you've had to make?
A: I would say a lot of things. I'm just adjusting to the new environment and stuff like that -- the weather, the food, the people and everything, but it's been good. Some of the players who are used to playing in the pros, I talked with them and they said the speed of things just goes fast. If you slow down you're going to miss out on a lot of things. It's going fast so I'm just trying to stay in the meeting rooms, watching films and paying attention to my notes.

Heisman Trophy candidate Colt Brennan gives Hawaii the look of a team that could earn a BCS bid.Awesome. Well, let's see if one of the mystery teams Herman Frazier has an offer out to pulls through to help the SOS. But either way, UH has to win every game to even be considered for BCS play. And the schedule as it is now is tougher than it looks.
Too bad the Warriors don't have the schedule of a BCS contender.
Hawaii has left open the possibility of scheduling a 13th game before the start of the season, but the Warriors' current list of opponents won't impress many pollsters.
The Warriors are scheduled to play two Division I-AA opponents (Northern Colorado and Charleston Southern) and only one school from a BCS conference (Washington). Western Athletic Conference rivals Boise State, San Jose State and Nevada are Hawaii's only Division I-A opponents that posted winning records last season.
Hawaii should be favored in every game it plays this year, but that kind of schedule could prevent the Warriors from earning a BCS at-large bid even if they go undefeated.

• Offense: Rex Hadnot's move to guard makes Satele the favorite at center ahead of Jonathan Ingram (his last NFL game was in '05, with K.C.). Lande said Satele, picked 60th overall, is undersized for a center (295 pounds) and sometimes was ''tossed to the ground'' at Hawaii. But scouts like his toughness, athleticism and quick feet. Line coach Hudson Houck has made major changes to his technique.Tossed to the ground? NO WAYS! Anyways, it would be great if Samson is the starting center as a rookie.
