From the Blogs: Game Management, Greg Salas, Other Notes
Dave Reardon has an item from his Quick Reads blog about UH initially going for one instead of two after taking a five-point lead.
Today at his weekly media conference, coach Greg McMackin answered that the kicking team ran out onto the field before the coaches could tell them to hold up. McMackin said that in that case his chart says to go for two (like it does on everyone else’s), and he intended to go for two before the kicking team went out.On the Warrior Beat, Stephen Tsai writes that WAC Offensive POTW Greg Salas will be tomorrow's chat guest, and has some injury updates:
UH ended up burning a timeout to get the right guys on the field to go for two.
Defensive end Fetaiagogo Fonoti said he definitely will make the Seattle-Vegas trip. He said he hopes to play this weekend. He said the MRI showed a hyperextension of the left kneecap.
• Defensive ends Elliott Purcell and Victor Clore did not practice today. Purcell has a contusion of his left quadriceps. Clore suffered a concussion in the opener. Both expect to play against Washington State.
• Defensive tackle Vaughn Meatoga also did not practice today. He has a sprained ankle. He does not think it's serious.
