Warriors in the Pros: Pisa, Colt

CBS2Chicago.com has video of Pisa Tinoisamoa talking to the Chicago media. The vid is accompanied by an AP article about Pisa getting comfortable with his new team.
Tinoisamoa said he could have signed with a few other teams that promised him a starting position, but would have felt awkward because he would have instantly been ahead of players experienced in the system who had been starters.

"I wouldn't appreciate that (myself)," he said. "So I didn't want to go into a situation like that, and the fact that I have to come and earn a job it definitely makes me more hungry because now I know I have to earn my job; it's not just given to me."
Vaughn McClure of the Chicago Tribune takes a look at the competition.
As a cordial Pisa Tinoisamoa addressed the Chicago media for the first time Wednesday, Hunter Hillenmeyer made his way to a side door while Nick Roach dipped into the weight room.

None of them wanted to make a big deal out of what could be a heated competition at strong-side linebacker, a position Roach occupied at the end of last season after surpassing Hillenmeyer. With the former St. Louis Ram Tinoisamoa now in the fold, he could emerge as the starter.

"He's a great guy," Hillenmeyer, who has been sidelined about eight weeks after sports hernia surgery, said of his new teammate. "The more good linebackers we have the better off we are."
And Dan Steinberg of the Washington Post follows up on his blog post about the friendship and competition between Colt Brennan and Chase Daniel with an article on the same subject.
"They were two of the best quarterbacks in college football history," said Redskins offensive assistant Chris Meidt, who works with the team's quarterbacks. "You're dealing with guys who know how to play the game. Colt is awesome -- everyone saw him in preseason last year, Colt can really play the game. His fundamentals aren't always where you'd like, so at least for him, we know what we have to work on. But he's getting better; if you watch him and his fundamentals, he's improving dramatically. So with him it's a defined set that we have to improve on, because we know he can play the game.
