Ticket Sales, Corey Nielsen, USC Games, Mouse

Ferd Lewis writes that UH football season ticket sales are projected to be down 7 to 10 percent this year.
UH said it sold 27,699 season tickets last year, a 15-year high.

Renewals are currently running at 79 percent, according to a UH spokesman. Those represent accounts that have, so far, been paid in full.
At this point last season, Donovan said UH renewals were running at 86 percent. But while 5,400 of 6,300 season ticket accounts had renewed at this time last year, Donovan said UH has more accounts this year, and 5,660 of 7,100 have so far renewed.

In 2007, the 6,300 accounts combined to purchase 22,990 tickets.
Incoming UH quarterback Corey Nielsen will be on The Warrior Beat Show along with new UH Wahine basketball coach Dana Takahara-Dias, starting at around 12:15pm HST. You can post questions before the show on the regular Warrior Beat.

In that post, Tsai mentions the upcoming UH-USC games in 2012 and 2013 I had seen, via WSN, on USC's official football site (woot woot). Jason Kaneshiro got confirmation from UH athletic director Jim Donovan that something's being worked on but it's not necessarily a done-deal.

And Ferd Lewis writes about the huge contribution the recently-retired Mouse Davis has made to the UH football program.
