Training Camp Starts Today, JD Chat

The first practice of training camp starts today at 10am HST. Check the Warrior Beat, UH Sports Extra, SportsHawaii.com or WSN for any updates.

Stephen Tsai interviewed some of the players as they moved into the studios yesterday.
The upperclassmen plan several — they promise — non-violent activities for the newcomers.

"We're going to treat them like grown men," leftside linebacker Blaze Soares said. "We can't be babying these kids who come from (junior) colleges and ... senior-prom schools."

Fifth-year defensive tackle Fale Laeli said: "We want to show what kind of man we can make out of you. This is what camp is for: to separate a man from a boy. I've been through it."
And don't forget to visit SportsHawaii.com's First and 10 with Jim Donovan forum at 10am to chat with UH athletic director Jim Donovan. Be there!

UPDATE: I completely missed it, but looks like Jim Donovan had a great chat with the fans. Here's an excerpt:

Hey Jim, do you think it is possible to sell old UH games on the Athletics website? I would love to see some old games and I think the Athletic department could make some money off of this.

I can't say much right now other than there is something in the works to make these "old games" available. I'm hopeful that something will happen during this school year. It involves a couple of corporations outside of UH Athletics, that's why I just can't say much right now. That said, I love the idea and we're working behind the scenes to make it happen.
From the practice field, Dave Reardon has some notes, and Stephen Tsai has some pics.
