WitP: Sopoaga, Mouton, Bess, McBriar, RGM

Isaac Sopoaga had one tackle in the 49ers shutout win vs the Rams, but more importantly he was finally able to get in touch with his family in American Samoa.
"I was worried," Sopoaga said. "Not sad. Not scared. Worried. Worried."

Finally, while Sopoaga was at the 49ers' walk-through practice Saturday, his mother reached his wife. Everyone was safe.

"They're good," Sopoaga said Sunday. "The water stopped, like, 15 yards from their house. It hit one building where my cousins worked, but they escaped. The water didn't touch them."
Ryan Mouton had 3 tackles in the Titans' loss to the Jaguars.

Davone Bess had just 3 catches for 17 yards in the Dolphins 38-10 win over the Bills, but his play was highlighted by Miami coach Tony Sparano.
I thought that was a really nice job by Chad [Henne, QB] in some of those situations, but [Davone] Bess [WR] had to win a couple of times and did. Just a couple of good guys making plays on third down for us. That was critical to keep drives alive.
Bess also averaged 9 yards on 3 punt returns.

Mat McBriar had 6 punts for an average of 49.3 yards in Dallas' loss to Denver.

And in the CFL, Ryan Grice-Mullen had 5 catches for 38 yards, 2 runs for 27 yards, 3 kick returns for 63 yards, 3 punt returns for 19 yards, but also one lost fumble in the BC Lions 19-16 victory over Saskatchewan.
