Destin Stewart not a Warrior? (w/UPDATE)

Via TulsaWorld.com:
Tulsa welcomed 32 newcomers to its football program on Tuesday afternoon.

Among those were 23 scholarship players, including Oklahoma City Douglass star Destin Stewart. The versatile Stewart originally had signed a letter of intent with Hawaii, but changed his mind over the weekend to join Tulsa. His immediate status is unknown. Stewart has 26 catches for 521 yards and nine touchdowns as a receiver, and 76 tackles and five interceptions on defense in 2008.
It seemed like it was only a few days ago that Destin was talking about leaving for Hawaii.
What are you most looking forward to about going off to college: football or being in Hawaii?

Definitely football. I just want to go there to learn new things and keep getting better. But I’m not going to lie, being in Hawaii will be nice, too.
UPDATE: Stephen Tsai has an update with the reason Destin will go to Tulsa instead of UH:
Destin Stewart, a wideout from Douglass High in Tulsa, met the NCAA requirements to play for the Warriors this season.
But UH and Tulsa have different standards, and he did not gain admittance to Manoa.
The Warriors were forced to release Stewart from the letter of intent he signed in February.
Stewart is now enrolled at Tulsa, and will play for the Golden Hurricane this season.
All the best to Destin.
