Craig Stutzmann Expected to Leave

Stephen Tsai writes that graduate assistant/receivers coach Craig Stutzmann is expected to take a job at Portland State.
Stutzmann has an in-person interview with PSU head coach Jerry Glanville today in Portland.

A vacancy was created on the PSU staff when receiver coach Kevin Strasser was hired as senior offensive consultant for the Edmonton Eskimos of the Canadian Football League.

Glanville, who was UH's defensive coordinator in 2005 and 2006, said he cannot comment on the successor until a contract has been signed.

Glanville said an official announcement is expected tomorrow.
"I love Hawai'i, and I love the program, but at this time in my life, it would be beneficial for me to take this opportunity," Stutzmann said.
"It's a fulltime position," Stutzmann said. "I have a family. This would be a way to get my foot in the door. The ultimate dream would be to start off at UH. Unfortunately, there's nothing available right now."

If he were to leave, his brother, freshman wideout Billy Ray Stutzmann, would remain at UH.

"I talked to my brother," Stutzmann said. "He's going to stay. This is a great fit for him."
Best of luck to Craig.
