From the Blogs and Boards: Japan, Rings, HFS, ISM, Kiran

Dave Reardon writes about Greg McMackin and Jim Donovan leaving for Japan today.
It’s a four-day marketing trip for both the football coach and the athletic director. McMackin said he wants to try to find players in Japan, and that the level of competition has improved to the point where there are viable prospects. … It’s technically NOT a recruiting trip. Both will have speaking engagements, McMackin to coaches, Donovan to athletic administrators. … Donovan is hoping to make deals with at least two schools that want to come to Hawaii to learn more about football and would pay UH for the opportunity to do it at Manoa.
Stephen Tsai has pictures of the Warriors getting Hawaii Bowl rings.

Chad Owens' Hawaii Football School has an official blog that includes some pictures of ex-UH players who have been helping out with the kids.

Island Sports Media's spring issue will be out soon. Davone Bess is on the cover. Also featured in the issue are:
...Warrior John Fonoti, and newly committed Warrior quarterback Corey Nielsen. We also feature HPU basketball, Michelle Wie, Aunty G’s recipes, and more.
The last issue featuring David Veikune was excellent. Highly recommended!

And over on SportsHawaii.com, looks like quarterback Kiran Kepoʻo will be leaving UH, according to his dad.
