Future Warriors: David Graves

Joe Davidson of the Sacramento Bee has an article about the recruiting season that includes a mention of UH commit David Graves:
Folsom's David Graves isn't the prototypical drop-back passer with the Peyton Manning size, but The Bee's Player of the Year has special skills. He's a master at the spread formation offense, a craze in college football, and his 6-foot-1, 195-pound frame, speed and instincts make for quite a package. USC and Florida didn't come calling, but Hawaii and its spread offense did. Graves accepted the Warriors' offer.

"He's not that huge quarterback some colleges look for, but put four or five receivers around him, the quick snaps, the quick decisions, and he's a natural," Folsom coach Kris Richardson said.
And Stephen Tsai writes that Graves has reaffirmed his commitment.
It’s been open season on UH recruits.
But don’t worry about quarterback David Graves.
“I’m definitely still with Hawai‘i,” Graves said.
He said quarterback Nick Rolovich made a home visit the past Monday.
“For sure, I’m signing with Hawai‘i,” Graves said. “Everything is A-OK. I’m pretty excited.”
