Ways to Follow the UH vs Weber State Game

Bump, with a couple changes. GO WARRIORS!!!!

Being There:

Buy tickets through the UH website, or at Aloha Stadium.

Here's a traffic & parking advisory from the Aloha Stadium website. It includes times that lots will start to open, alternate parking sites with shuttle service, and other information.

Here are more promotions, discounts and activities available for the game, via HawaiiAthletics.com.

Television:

In Hawaii, via Oceanic pay-per-view, channel 255. Oceanic has a list of some of the bars and restaurants that carry PPV this season. The KKEA audio broadcast can be heard on channel 884.

Outside of Hawaii, via ESPN Gameplan. Here's their pricing and ordering info page.

Streaming Video:

Oceanic Cable will be streaming it live via their new UH sports web video service. The game is priced at $12.56 on their schedule. Ordering is only available an hour before each event. There are some restrictions:
If you live in the state of Hawaii, you need to be a Road Runner customer to subscribe to the video streaming service. Individuals on the mainland or anywhere else in the world, do not need to be Road Runner customers.
This is the first time Oceanic will be streaming a UH football game. For those who order, let us know how it goes!

If your ISP supports it, ESPN360.com will be streaming the game for free.

Radio:

On Oahu, KKEA AM 1420. Neighbor islands can listen live on KNUI on Maui, KPUA in Hilo, KMWB in Kona. KKEA can also be heard on Oceanic Digital Cable Channel 884.

Streaming Audio:

Streaming audio via ESPN1420AM.com.

Live Stats:

SideArmStats.com, via HawaiiAthletics.com

ESPN Scoreboard

Yahoo! Sports

Sites like CBS Sportsline, Fox Sports, etc should have stats as well.

I tried to order the live streaming from Oceanic yesterday...they are restricting it to Road Runner customers only! Hawaiian Telcom did not do this, they let anyone sign up. Oh well Oceanic's package sucked anyway, they didn't even have road games for streaming. Screw Oceanic and their monopoly.

thanks first anonymous -- maybe they had the wrong error message up? you're not supposed to be able to order until one hour before the start of a game. and they have this on the front page:

"Road Runner Warrior Online allows you to see many University of Hawaii athletic events live from any computer in the world!"

well, guess we'll find out soon.

and thanks second anonymous -- tvfromhawaii does sound like a great service, but i think the UH football games are delayed until the next day -- showing the k5 rerun, right?

You guys lucky! We live Molokai in the boonies. Oceanic doesn't want to lay cable in our area because its not cost effective. Most homes have dial-up or aircards/wireless cards in their laptops (cell phone internet service) but they are all too slow of a connection to watch streaming video. Which leaves a huge portion of Molokai fans bumming other people who have cable in the "town" area or sitting around the radio like old school style. After doing that pretty much all of last season, we saved up and took our kids (ages 18, 10, 9) to the Sugar Bowl, because we thought, any kids who can sit by a box and listen for 2-3 hours in this day and age deserve such an experience!
Anyways - point is, why do cable companies make it easier for Oahu subscribers to access the games, when the stadium is right there, and even easy for mainland based UH fans...what about us neighbor island fans?! We have ONE sort of sports bar/restaurant on the whole island!! Our options are limited....*sigh*
So MAHALO NUI for all your updates, clips, links, that help us feel a little bit more in the game while we listen to Robert Kekaula break it down for us.

Been trying to order for OVER an hour now ... can't even get onto Oceanic because servers are down. Did NOT have this problem last year when Hawaiian Telcom was providing the service.

    Oceanic Sucks!!!!!
Who cam up with the idea of only taking steaming order 1 hour before kickoff. Total amateurs. U of H will lose thousands of $$$ due to their incompetence.

I live on the mainland and initially had problems with order processing. I would fill out all my info and credit card info and it did not process. Tried for half an hour and it didn't process. Then what I did was actually click on the agreement button where you could read the agreement policy. Then after checking on the box that you agree to their policy it processed my order. So if anyone on the mainland had problems with it accepting you credit card issue make sure you actually read the agreement then click on the agreement box. Then it will process your credit card info and let you watch the game. The quality of the stream (resolution) was actually much better than Hawaii Telcoms stream last year.
