Warriors in the Pros: Colt in the Blogs

Homer McFanboy, who posts a bunch of the great practice and game photos on ExtremeSkins.com, has an interview with Colt on his blog.

Lee Gibbons of the Redskins Reports writes his impressions of Colt.
When Brennan came out to start the 3rd quarter, expectations were low.
But Brennan delivered. His 1st throw drew a ‘whoa’ from me in the live blog. He floated a pass over the shoulder of receiver Billy McMullen who didn’t have to break stride en-route to a 34-yard gain. When Brennan followed that pass up with another perfect toss to Maurice Mann for a touchdown, you had to think that we may just have an NFL quarterback here.
Curly R, who began throwing in gratuitous Colt Brennan references on his blog to get more hits (you're welcome!), has started a recurring(?) feature called the Colt Brennan Chronicles. Here's the August 4th and August 5th entries. Curly R is also posting his entries on Warriorshaka.

And Redskins tight end Chris Cooley, who has his own blog, has a video interview with Colt and Fred Davis. You might need to load the page a couple times to get the video to work.

Thanks to LizKauai and 4uhfan for finding some of the links.

I liked Curly R's August 4 post--UH should give it out to all recruits!

Notebook: Dropped passes irritate Dolphins coach

    By EDGAR THOMPSON

    Palm Beach Post Staff Writer

"We go to the game and we don't catch the ball. I can get anybody to do that," he said. "We really need to make sure that we're concentrating on catching the ball. I have not been happy with that end of the deal right now."

Sparano said the problem went beyond the 10 wide receivers in camp. He said the running backs also have dropped more than their share of throws.

Fullback Reagan Mauia dropped another pass in the flat today, giving him roughly a half-dozen drops in the past five practices.

    Dolphins report: Strategy and personnel

Selwyn Lymon vs. Davone Bess and Anthony Armstrong for a backup spot in the WR corps -- Lymon has impressed the coaching staff with his ability to outleap the smaller DBs for passes in the red zone. He had one of two TD catches in Saturday's scrimmage on a lob into the end zone from Josh McCown. Anderson had a big drop of a perfectly thrown bomb by McCown. Bess remains the favorite for the slot job with his glue-like hands and ability to create separation in the middle of the field.

WR Davone Bess and Selwyn Lymon are the best of the young receivers while Anthony Armstrong took a step backward with a dropped pass of a perfectly thrown bomb by Josh McCown in the scrimmage.

Good stuff. Love to see Colt do good and the Hogs fans embrace our "son".
