Sapolu, Tsaikos, Preview, Colt, JJ

Sorry so late with the links today, busy busy!

Kyle Sakamoto writes that former UH center Jesse Sapolu will be inducted into the Farrington Governors' Hall of Fame.
One of his offensive line mates for two seasons was Jim Donovan, the current UH athletic director.

"He was the leader of the offensive line," said Donovan, who played for UH in 1981 and 1982. "He certainly was a mentor to me coming in as a JC transfer."
The Tsai-kos are having a party tonight to celebrate The Warrior Beat's 2nd anniversary. Head Tsai-ko Stephen Tsai has more offseason workout photos, and teases readers with this bit of info.
The word on the Boulevard is that a 2007 Saint Louis School graduate now at a school in Berkeley is seeking to transfer to Manoa.
The defensive end, who is 6 feet 7, has requested — but has not been granted — a release from his football scholarship.
If he were to transfer, with or without a release, he would have to redshirt this coming season, after which he would have three remaining seasons of eligibility.
But he’s a great athlete (think of a more polished Ikaika Alama-Francis at this college stage) with good footwork (he played basketball for the Crusaders, too) and excellent DNA. His sister, also a basketball player, was named to the 2008 Hall of Honor.
Did I give enough clues?
Intriguing.

Kevan Lee writes a 2008 Hawaii preview from a fantasy college football perspective.

Encouraging news for Colt Brennan in this article reporting discouraging news for another Washington Redkins quarterback.
The surprise move by the Redskins today wasn't that the team signed third-round pick Chad Rinehart, an offensive lineman from Northern Iowa. It was that one of three players released was former Maryland quarterback Sam Hollenbach.

Hollenbach's departure is a sign that a) draft pick Colt Brennan will be recovered from hip surgery in time for training camp July 20 and b) coach Jim Zorn was impressed last year and this year by former Marshall quarterback Derek Devine. Devine was in Seattle's camp last summer.
And Ferd Lewis asks if West Virginia and Rich Rodriguez can work out their differences over money, why can't UH and June Jones?
