QB Greg Alexander Commits to UH

...and probably already signed his letter of intent. From Eric Branch of The Press Democrat:
A week ago, Greg Alexander was a 6-foot-5, 240-pound quarterback with a rocket right arm, a laundry list of accolades and one nagging question: Did anyone care?

A week later, Alexander's credentials haven't changed, but his fortunes have.

Alexander, a Piner High graduate and the holder of every major passing record at Santa Rosa Junior College, will sign a national letter of intent today with the University of Hawaii on National Signing Day.
...in mid-January, Hawaii assistant coach Ron Lee called SRJC coach Keith Simons to inquire about Bear Cubs wide receiver Aubrey Quarles. In passing, Lee asked where Alexander was playing next year.

When Simons explained Alexander's situation, Hawaii became interested. It didn't hurt that Jones' replacement, Greg McMackin, had recently hired Nick Rolovich as his quarterbacks coach. Rolovich, a Novato native, had been an assistant the past two years at City College of San Francisco, which competes against SRJC in the NorCal Conference.
Congratulations and welcome to Greg!

UPDATE: Tsai writes that Alexander has signed and faxed his LOI.
