Ferd Lewis writes that other teams in the WAC have scheduling problems too, but they appear completely unrelated to UH's scheduling problems.

Both of Boise State's openings involve MAC agreements as does Idaho's. Hurd said Bowling Green owes Boise State a return game from two years ago and the MAC owes the Broncos an unidentified opponent from last year when Boise State assumed a game against Utah in exchange for a MAC opponent this year. But so far, Hurd said, the team to fulfill the obligation "was never identified, still hasn't been identified and is likely not to be identified."

Asked if there is a possibility Boise State could be left with 11 of a possible 13 games, Hurd said, "That would be the worst case and, obviously, we hope that's not the case."

Hurd said, "I would say that is unlikely, highly unlikely" UH would face that kind of a scenario.

Anyway, let's hope it's all resolved soon. On the bright side, Hawaii didn't finalize last year's schedule until February 13! Wait a minute, what is today?
