Warriors in the Pros: NFL Week 1

Isaac Sopoaga did a haka before the 49ers-Seahawks game. Here's another photo from 49ers.com. Sopoaga had one tackle while his teammate Travis LaBoy had five tackles and a sack, but the 49ers lost 31-6. Coaching on the Seahawks special teams was former 49er Jeff Ulbrich. CSN Bay Area's Matt Maiocco wrote about Ulbrich's transition into coaching.
"He garnered unbelievable respect from people who played against him -- that's players and coaches," Carroll said. "I fell in love with the guy when I had a chance to get with him. He loves the game with tremendous passion."

Ulbrich serves as the assistant for special teams coordinator Brian Schneider. He has influence in game-planning and practice structure, while working extensively on computers and film breakdowns. Carroll has also given Ulbrich the opportunity to speak in front of the entire team.

"I cover a lot of my own experience," Ulbrich said. "I tell them to find a way to impact of the game. Whatever capacity it is, whether you're a defensive starter, special teams guy, whatever, impact it in a positive way. There are a million ways to do that."
Ikaika Alama-Francis was slated to start vs the Bills, or at least get a lot of playing time yesterday but got sick on game day and was put on the inactive list. Hope it's just a stomach bug or something.

His teammate Davone Bess had 6 catches for 51 yards.

Pisa Tinoisamoa had 3 tackles in the Bears' victory over the Lions.

In the Titans vs Raiders game, Ryan Mouton forced a fumble on the opening kickoff, but it was recovered by the Raiders.

Mat McBriar had 6 punts for a 34 yard average, with 3 of them downed inside the 20. DallaysCowboys.com also has a video interview with him.
