Game Previews, QBs, Ellerson

Here are UH vs Army game previews, info, notes, etc. from HawaiiAthletics.com and GoArmySports.com.

Jason Kaneshiro talks to the three UH QBs who played vs USC, a.k.a. the QUARTERBACK COLLECTIVE!
When Bryant Moniz went to the sideline after absorbing a hard shot in the third quarter of Thursday's season-opening loss to USC, Brent Rausch and Shane Austin proved effective in relief.

"It's one of the things we took pride in, to try to be the best unit in the nation as quarterbacks," Moniz said. "They showed that. They both got in there and threw nice passes."
And Ferd Lewis profiles Army coach Rich Ellerson, who once played for and coached at UH.
"The place he always talked about coaching was West Point," recalls former UH head coach Dick Tomey.

Of course, as Tomey quickly learned in his first staff meeting in Manoa, when a raw graduate assistant had the temerity to argue a point with the head coach, Ellerson is an original.
