Tyler Hadden Signs with UH (w/UPDATE)

Stephen Tsai writes that kicker Tyler Hadden will become a Warrior.
The Warriors had scheduled a recruiting trip for a kicker from Texas this weekend. But yesterday morning, UH learned Hadden had mad a verbal commitment with New Mexico State. The Warriors then made a scholarship offer to Hadden, who accepted. Earlier, Hadden was given a letter of intent, just in case. He signed it last night, then faxed a copy to UH. Hadden and UH are working on arrangements for a Hawaii visit.
His website is TylerHadden.com. Here are some video highlights:

UPDATE: Jason Kaneshiro has a quote from Chris Sailer.
Sailer, a former UCLA kicker, has worked with Hadden since his freshman year through the kicking camps Sailer runs.
In listing Hadden’s strengths, Sailer cited “his technique and consistency, and he’s a very polished kicker.” He also rated Hadden’s leg strength as well above average.
UPDATE (2/6/10): Jason Kaneshiro profiles Hadden.
"His leg strength is well above average, his ability to kick off the ground is well above average and his kickoffs are well above average," Sailer said. "I see him as a guy who can play right away.

"He's a guy who's still going to develop physically. Give him a year or two and he's going to add so much strength and flexibility."
