Day 3 Reports

greentea of Sportshawaii.com has a report from Day 3 of fall practice. An excerpt:
LWJ ran the ball with like there was no tommorrow; Pilares looked great catching balls then pranced for more yards. It seems the offense has found its groove early in the fall. But they will get better, and better. Its scary good, something that can manifest into a great ball club with media recognition (my thoughts in the hot morning sun).

Salas looked comfortable catching, running, as if he's ready for the season to start tommorrow. Such a big target, and yac kind of guy. Opponent DBs will have to worry about Salas; it seems he can break big time yardage and touchdown this season.

OL is huge in height and width wise, they seem to protect GA well; other QB's seem to have stepped up their talent in throwing and decision making, I think if they need to step in during game situation, I think they can maintain consistency in running the offense.
Getting excited!

And John Estes posted a photo via Twitter of how some of the players relaxed after practice.
After practice boys in the pool... Chris, Aaron brown, Kia, Rock.. Yee! After practice... Shakin off the rust

UPDATE: Jason Kaneshiro has a report on UH Sports Extra.
The offense appeared sharp in the 7-on-7s. Greg Alexander went 10-for-13 in the period, aided by a leaping catch by Jon Medeiros despite tight coverage from cornerback Lewis Walker. Alexander went 11-for-16 in the 11-on-11 periods, connecting with Kealoha Pilares three times.
The offensive line opened a hole for running back Alex Green to break off a long gain on an handoff up the middle.
Brashton Satele appeared to be shaken up early in the team period, and sat out as a precaution. Jake Heun and Mana Lolotai then took most of the snaps at middle linebacker. Lolotai worked primarily at outside linebacker with the second unit.
Tank Hopkins also sat out with a cramp, pushing Lametrius Davis into the first unit. Freshman receiver Billy Ray Stutzmann missed the last two days with an ankle injury.
Over on WSN (registration required), dpalhu has a fan report. Here's an excerpt:
10:30 - 10:50 Scrimage: Offense looked better than the defense. Pilares caught a couple of balls and looked good. Alexander is definitely #1 of the QBs. Seems to have a better grasp of the offense. Offense was able to consistently complete short passes of 5-9 yds. There were a no deep passes completed however, there were a couple of open shots that were incomplete. There were a some good runs (one by #25 which might have been a TD and Inoke for approx 20 yd).

Only once did the whistles blow because the DL would have sacked the QB. Good to Blaise Soares back. Put #6 on his back on a failed screen pass. Fonoti also looked good moving to the ball. No picks by the D although most of the passes were quick and short.
