Kaniela Tuipulotu to UH

It's been circulating the message boards today, and now Jason Kaneshiro gets confirmation that former Kahuku and Arizona defensive tackle Kaniela Tuipolotu will become a Warrior.

Kaniela Tuipulotu, one of the state’s highest rated football recruits two years ago, will transfer from Arizona to Hawaii, the Kahuku graduate said today.

The defensive tackle plans to return to Hawaii this week after finishing summer school in Tucson.

He started seven games for the Wildcats last season, but wants to be closer to home.

“(UH linebacker and friend Blaze Soares) told me there’s nothing like playing in front of your family,” Tuipulotu said. “That stuck with me.”
