Veikune looked terrific during position drills and has established himself as one of the rising 4-3 ends in the draft.

Side note: on Boise State's blog site OBNUG has a funny poem on the Hawaii Warriors (I believe it was on the top right corner). I guess UH must be good enough for them to "hate" us and memorialize us in poetry. Actually pretty good poem even if he doesn't like UH.

If you go to this site, they have a story and I believe a video of the water polo.

If you've been wondering what the Warrior football team is up to these days, you haven't been to the UH pool.

At least that was the location for Wednesday's competition of Super Games 2009.

Great comeback poem--and lots of great comments that day. I believe I was on a trip about that time so this was the first time I saw any of this.

As always, we know you will get everything about UH football. I wonder who the new opponent for UH will be? I read that SMU has a schedule set for 2009 with I believe was 12 games in a row with no break in between (need to reread that article). Since playing UH in Hawaii would allow an opponent like SMU to play an extra game, I wonder if it could be SMU?

This is the article I read. Since Hawaii has such good weather year round, it is conceivable for SMU to play UH after their last game in December. Sorry, I did not go to the link mentioned in your story.

SMU football schedule reveals no breaks

There will be little time for the Mustangs to rest next football season.

SMU plays 12 straight weeks without a bye from Sept. 5 to Nov. 21 as part of its 2009 schedule.

SMU opens at home against Stephen F. Austin on Sept. 5.

f-lo, i'm thinking the series, whatever team it is, will begin in 2010. i think we're set for 2009. SMU would be pretty cool -- just hope they improve... but not too much!

chawancut, so how was the reno?

Tombo, you are correct about UH schedule set for 2009 at 13 games already. As for SMU improving, I agree that they need to improve but hope UH improves much more.

Just a comment, that the spelling (of Internets) was popularized by former US President George W. Bush--he used the plural form in several speeches. So Tombo is no worse than a former President--although I would suspect that Tombo only made a single spelling error while Bush probably didn't know any better if he used that spelling multiple times. Tombo and CC, please do not mistake my intention here, I am not taking either side but it is interesting that a former leader of our country does not understand ...
