Sage Nua Joining UH

Jared Harmon of The Las Vegas Sun reports that linebacker Sage Nua will join UH as a preferred walk-on.

Liberty linebacker Sage Nua has already left his stamp on Patriots history as the six-year-old school's leading tackler (275).

On Wednesday he added another honor as the team's first player to reach a Division-I program.

A native Hawaiian, Nua will return to the University of Hawaii this fall as a preferred walk-on for the Warriors.

"It's nice to be going back home," Nua said. "Plus they have a good program where if you work hard you'll play. It's not just all about the guys on scholarship. I hope to contribute to a few wins and work my way onto the field."
