Na Koa Lunch Report: USU, NMSU

uhwarriors has posted his recap of this week's Na Koa Luncheon, where Ron Lee broke down the Utah State and New Mexico State games. Here's an excerpt:
Coach Lee laughingly said that “he can finally get some sleep” now that we have a starting quarterback. It’s been challenging getting going with eligibility issues (Tyler Graunke) and injuries at the position (Graunke, Inoke Funaki and Greg Alexander). Alexander and Brent Rausch weren’t really ready for the Florida game.

Alexander is starting to understand and execute the offense. While he wasn’t playing, he really paid attention and continued to learn. He still has many things to get better at, but he is making progress. He needs to go through his reads quicker and trust the offense a little more. On most of his scrambles against New Mexico State, there were open receivers and they prefer that he find them rather than running and taking hits. He has a tendency of winding up but is working on quickening his release.

Thanks as always Tombo. Glad to hear that Ron sees the same thing us as. I just hope we get to see some Funaki in the future. I still like him as our slot, and in option plays.
