Boise State 27, Hawaii 7

UH kept it close in the first half, with Ryan Mouton Jameel Dowling forcing a fumble that led to a Daniel Libre TD. Going into halftime, UH was down just 10-7. But it all fell apart as the Warriors gave up four second half turnovers. Keala Watson and Kealoha Pilares left the game with injuries, not sure how serious yet. Congrats to the Broncos, they played a great game... Inoke Funaki was pressured all night while Boise QB Kellen Moore wasn't, with all the screens, quick passes, etc.

I thought they gave a lot of heart and gutsy play. I am proud of them. I think a little better play in taking care of the ball, and throwing less interceptions we had a chance to win the game. While Funaki threw a lot of interceptions, no blame him. This is part of the learning process. I hope he learns how to look off the main receiver, and bounce right back. We need him to win the next few games. As always, I still bleed green.

I watched the entire game and I must say congratulations to Boise st. They are a well coached team that made the proper adjustments at half to cause pressure and TO's. Defense in my mind still played pretty well. I mean you give the ball up 5 times and you only lose 27-7. Fans do not get discouraged; Boise st. is a good team and I thought Hawaii played their hearts out. I see a very strong rivalry developing and I am excited to see Boise st. come in next year. I also liked seeing the hard hitting that was put on by Hawaii. I must say that even though we are rebuilding we are still a damn physical defense that lays the wood. I am especially excited for next year with Blaze, RJ Kauhane, and Brashton. Talk about hard hitting...I think the three should be tagged as "da poi poundas" next year if they are all healthy. 3 local braddahs that love collisions.

you're right, it definitely could've been worse than 27-7. the UH defense played well given what they were given. at the same time, boise seemed ready for the blitzing and ran their offense pretty well. could've been a different game without all those INTs. hope funaki doesn't get too down about this game. he had some excellent passes in the first half. just seemed like he was pressured all night and the bad throws just snowballed.

i still think boise will struggle against a good team that can move the ball and score.
4 of those ints were directly to a boise player. they didn't have to make a play on it. they were just bad throws.
we were up and up with them in the first half. we stopped their running but they picked us apart passing. although they didn't totally wipe us out with scoring either. they stalled a bunch of times too. they can't do that if it comes to a shootout.
hopefully boise doesn't get too confident and look past teams, because they're not there yet.
i am here in boise, and the fans here are nice. we'll see how they do. they have a similar situation that we did last year. a favorable schedule and a preseason ranking that they can only move up on. byu just lost, that helps. hey, if they make it all the way, more $$$$ stolen from the BCS for the WAC and us.

O-line sucked!!!! no offense...but its true. their the reason why funaki was loosin' his mojo in the 2nd half. not to mention...the recievers had hands like butter fingeres..perfect throws...but still missed easy throws. Funaki was great...his supporting crew..I can't say the same unfortunately. They're the downfall of the UH team. Defense did their part no doubt about it! Again...O-line sucked!

O line did suck! Especially LS tackle, it was obvious Boise did their homework to attack the Warriors weaker side.

As an offensive lineman you stay with your man no matter what, he couldn't get his footwork in to stay with his man and saw how he made gestures like "Awe Sh*t" when he saw his man sack Funaki, talk about poor technique.

Congratulations to Boise for the win and wish them the best in the BCS. We still have a chance to win 4 more games to make the Hawai'i bowl.

    GO Warriors!

I have no idea what game some of you were watching but Inoke was awful. The interceptions were completely his fault. He overthrew recievers and led them too much. If the recievers didnt make unbelievable catches, it couldve been worse. He should have had 7 interceptions if Boise actually played a good game defensively.
