In his Thursday press conference, Dolphins coach Tony Sparano talked about Miami's kick return game, mentioning Davone Bess and how he and Ted Ginn fit in.

(On if Davone Bess is fast enough to make thing happen in the kick return game) - "Yeah, I think so. He's fast enough. Yeah, he's fast enough. He makes guys miss, so he's quicker than he is fast if that's a good answer, where obviously Ted is just fast. I think that you can see conceivably both those guys at some point."

ESPN.com's NFC West blog has a quote from Rams coach Mike Haslett praising Pisa Tinoisamoa.

"I think that's the number one thing, he's healthy. He's playing with great pad level, the guy is playing with power for a guy that's not big in stature, I mean, he's extremely fast, obviously. But the guy is doing everything right and that's the reason he's not getting knicked up and hit because his mechanics and techniques are just, you know, he's doing everything right for the first time since I've been here."

The Vancouver Sun has a Q&A with Ryan Grice-Mullen, who is set to make his debut with the CFL's BC Lions. Here's an excerpt:

Q: You signed with the Houston Texans as a free agent? Why did you go there and why were you cut?

A: They liked me a lot and it was a good situation. The Texans didn't draft any receivers. I was one of only two free-agent receivers they brought in. I felt good about making the team. It just so happened, on the third day after I got there, I pulled my hamstring. You pull your ham and it costs you four weeks. That's the difference between being a draftee and a free agent. If I'd been drafted, they would have had more patience with me.
