From the Blogs: Tsai, WSU, BSU, UH

Stephen Tsai writes that the JJ football clinic in American Samoa was a success.
The SMU-UH goodwill trip to American Samoa was successful in many ways. Too often, coaches go to the U.S. territory solely for recruiting purposes. This time, the group of coaches went there to help, delivering medical supplies and teaching a two-day clinic.
Tsai also writes that incoming juco receiver Ryan Henry will be arriving for Summer Session II, while receivers Jovonte Taylor and Dustin Blount should arrive in time for the start of fall camp. And there's more photos from offseason workouts.

One of the opponent blogs linked over on the right, WSU Football Blog, has a pretty good scouting report/preview on the 2008 Warriors. There's a few iffy details here and there, but overall, better than most of the national preview articles. Here's an excerpt:
Top Defensive Player: Hawaii's linebackers are stacked, with Adam Leonard and Solomon Elimimian both back this year. They combined for 246 tackles last season and 20 tackles for loss. They are both the emotional and physical leaders on a defense that flies to the football. But I'll go with Elimimian. Simply put, he's a tackling monster at linebacker, racking up an amazing 141 tackles and 10.5 for loss. He's not a huge guy for a middle linebacker, built more like a safety at 6-1, 220, but he is as quick as any middle linebacker we'll see next year.
While we're over at the opponent blogroll, be sure to check out one of the best, funniest WAC blogs out there, even if it is a frickin Boise blog -- OBNUG (One Bronco Nation Under God). Here's a sample of their handiwork (of course I use this one):

One of the best UH blogs is Garret's UH Warrior Quotes, a compilation of quotes related to UH football from various media sources. A plethora of information.

Also added recently to the blogs / fan sites links, a couple of sites by a couple of great people -- LizKauai's blog and Jason's Kūlia I Ka Nu‘u info page.
