Weekend News

Some news from this past weekend:

Part 2 of Dave Reardon's interview with Jim Donovan.

Reardon has some quotes from WAC commish Karl Benson on Donovan's hire.

Ferd Lewis writes a list of dos-and-dont's for Jim Donovan. Some excerpts:
  • Don't be surprised when people do a double take at seeing the athletic director in town and working.

  • Check the soda machines outside the department for loose change. Don't laugh; with the deficit you're inheriting, every bit helps.

  • Never say that completing the football schedule is, "a piece of cake" and then not be able to fill it.
Paul Arnett writes about how hard Herman Frazier had it.

And here's a draft analysis of Colt Brennan from Bryce McRae of KFFL.

What is it about the Star-Bulletin?

I like Reardon and think he does a great job.

But Arnett still doesn't get it. He still seems to like Frazier when most of the State wants to forget about him. Frazier has not made it better for Donovan--Donovan will make it better for Donovan and UH. Frazier has never done anything good for UH--he is not a hero. Stop trying to make it like Frazier did anything good--I just want to forget that he ever existed. Just let him go away and live his own life without further monies from UH.

Aloha Kakahiaka Tombo, Chawan Cut and WW. Another beautiful day in Hawaii nei, and my morning fix of Warrior news. Keep the tasty morsels info coming Hawaiian Supah man/bloger.

Like the partial recognition form McRae: "His experience in an NFL-style offense should help him adapt to the NFL." While they think we stay in a weak conference, this guy one of the first tosay its an NFL-style offense. The system label is just nene droppings.

As for the SL guy in China town on Friday, I hope its not u know who. If so, still innocent until proven guilty. Entrapment and mistake are still a defense. Better go for the heavies for defense attorney. I'm not talking experience liver Arakawa defense attorey Ostendorp either. Instead the likes of Eddens, Green, Heart.

I really hope the Chinatown guy wasn't the UH recruit, otherwise Coach Mac will be in his first ethical dilemma off his head coaching career...yikes!

I read a comment on ST's blog its not U-know-who. He was seen at a Polynesian Award Dinner da same time when da other SL boy was hand-cuffed. I hope it stay true. Cuz, JJ gave second chance before da boys come, but no second chance after they come, I hope u-know-who get the same. But he better be good when he represent the Big H.
