Hawaii 48, Idaho 20

Here's the AP wrap-up by Tim Booth.
Brennan finished 30 of 49 for 369 yards with three touchdown passes and added a 1-yard TD plunge in the third quarter. Brennan's five interceptions — two were on deflections — tied a school record, but while the Warriors' star struggled, Hawaii's talent easily overmatched the Vandals.

Brennan's ankle seemed fine, but he was far from sharp. Many of his passes were slightly off target, either behind or in front of his receivers. Brennan's 19 incompletions were the most since missing 20 throws against Wisconsin in 2005 and third highest of his career.

Davone Bess caught a season-high 12 passes for 162 yards, just two receptions off the school record he co-owns, and Kealoha Pilares added 85 yards rushing on just 10 carries, the highest total by any Hawaii back this season.
The Star-Bulletin has a scoring breakdown and some game stats.

Thankfully we have an improved 'D' line. Today wasn't Brennan's day, you can tell, being out 1 entire game, really showed in his performance. Hopefully he can pick it up, throwing now as fast as what he was doing today. His throws seem much faster than the first 4 games. I guess playing indoors without the flow of wind has an effect on the throws. We all should vote that Idaho remove the dome roof...it looks stuffy inside..hopefuly no one passed gas. haha jk. Go Warriors!

yeah, seems like missing all that practice got him off his game a bit. then again, couple of those INTs were deflections, so it's not super bad. and a win is a win!

Well, if we want to make excuses, 1 pick was a deflection, 1 pick was Grice-Mullen throwing the ball in the air and the other 3 were on throws.

And you could tell the interceptions were at least partly due to the ankle, I don't care what people say. All 3 interceptions were underthrown to some degree and he pushes off his right side.

In the long run, this only matters in the sense that it pretty much ruins any remaining hope of him actually winning the Heisman. Though I think for Hawaii to continually move up in the rankings and to possibly get a crack at the BCS bowl, Brennan has to be in New York or there will be no incentive to move up in the rankings or be invited to a major bowl.
