A Decade of Uperesas

As Dane Uperesa leaves UH for the NFL, his brother, Punahou offensive lineman Drew Uperesa, will carry on the Uperesa torch for the Warriors. Stephen Tsai writes:
Punahou School offensive lineman Drew Uperesa today accepted a University of Hawaii football scholarship.
"It's a good situation for me," Uperesa said.

It has not been finalized whether he will join the Warriors in August or next January.

Uperesa, who is 6 feet 2 and 245 pounds, is projected to play guard or center at UH. He was a tackle at Punahou.

...

"Athletically, he's as athletic, if not better, than I am," Dane Uperesa said.

Drew Uperesa said: "That's flattering, but I don't know about that."

Kevin Uperesa said his youngest son "has had some good coaching. He's a hard worker. He's a good kid. I'm very proud of him."
Sounds like he might be grayshirting. Time to get bigger and stronger! Congratulations to Drew and UH!
