Freshman David Graves making his first career start, finished 21-of-38 for 260 yards and two touchdowns while rushing for 57 yards and another score. He gave way to Shane Austin at the end of the third quarter and the senior completed 9-of-10 passes for 98 yards and led the Warriors to the game-sealing touchdown drive.Is there a QB controversy as the Warriors head to a season finale showdown vs BYU? Gotta win this one to make the Hawaii Bowl.
Freshman wide receiver Trevor Davis was the recipient of both of Graves' touchdown passes while running back Joey Iosefa rushed for 59 yards and two scores.
Sophomore David Graves nearly rallied the Warriors (5-6, 3-4 WAC) to victory, completing 13-of-27 for 199 yards and two touchdowns while rushing for another score. Graves entered the game with Hawai'i trailing 17-0 early in the second quarter.
After much debate this week as to who would replace injured starter Bryant Moniz at quarterback, senior Shane Austin got the nod. In his second career start, Austin played the entire first quarter, completing 6-of-13 for 45 yards, before giving way to Graves.
Robert Turbin's 1-yard plulnge with 14 seconds left proved the game-winner as the Aggies (3-5, 1-2 WAC) overcame a 21-point second-half deficit. Turbin's score capped a 12-play, 59-yard drive that ate up the majority of the final five minutes.
