Jared Leaf Commits to UH

Stephen Tsai writes that running back Jared Leaf will become a Warrior.
Leaf said he is 6 feet 2 and 230 pounds.

In nine regular-season games in 2010, Leaf rushed for 1,347 yards and 19 touchdowns. Against El Molino High, he rushed for 334 yards and five touchdowns.

He was named to the 2010 Diablo Foothill Athletic League's first team as a running back and linebacker.

Leaf will compete for the running back's job vacated by Alex Green, who completed his UH football eligibility last month.
Congrats to Jared!

Recruiting is the bread and butter of your program. Question is are we recruting the type of caliber players that can win a Mountain West Championship, or are we recruiting players that can win a Wac Championship minus Boise? We seem to be getting players no one else is offering. McMackin this is where you earn your money and keep your job. We need coaches that can sell a mediocre facilities and get them to come be a Warrior the end result will be wins=$= upgrade facilites= better recruits=less fair weather fans. We all hate to lose!

while i agree that we need better football players, if the kid can play, it doesnt matter how many schools recruit him.

clay matthews, the green bay packers linebacker, didnt have a single division 1A football scholarship and walked on to play linebacker at USC. look how he turned out....
