GameDay: UH vs Central Arkansas

It's finally here. Awww woot woot!

Stephen Tsai has a game preview with breakdowns of the offense, defense and specialists for both teams.

Jason Kaneshiro has a game preview and a list of probable starters.
"I think they're all really excited about playing somebody besides themselves," McMackin said. A crowd of between 33,000 and 35,000 is expected.

"Certain guys play better when the lights are on and some guys don't. Game reps are the most important reps you can get. I'm anxious to see how we play when the lights are on. I really like how the players have worked and the coaches have worked. I have a good feeling about this football team."
Kaneshiro has a season preview.

In his article about David Katina committing to UH, Stephen Tsai writes that John Fonoti may be held out of this game, and has other news and notes.

Kaneshiro has some notes about WAC coaches giving UCA advice.
When the contract was finalized, Clint Conque knew just getting his team from Conway, Ark., to Honolulu would be a challenge. So the Central Arkansas coach took some time this summer to seek the advice of coaches familiar with the logistics.

"I took some advice from guys like Brian Kelly (Cincinnati) and Derek Dooley (Louisiana Tech) and Dick Tomey (San Jose State) throughout the spring and summer knowing we were playing this game," Conque said.
David McCollum of the Log Cabin Democrat has a preview and so does the AP.

Kaneshiro takes a look at Central Arkansas and Ferd Lewis writes about how they came to be on the schedule.

And Dave Reardon writes about a parking pass snafu Jim Donovan has to deal with.

GO WARRIORS!!!
