Thank You, Booze Hounds

Anheuser-Busch Sales of Hawaii announced that it has reached its goal of $100,000 in its "Get In The Game" promotion, which raised funds for University of Hawai‘i Athletics Department facility improvements. Through its statewide campaign, Anheuser-Busch donated 25 cents for every case of Budweiser, Bud Light, Bud Light Lime, and Budweiser Select it sold from August 1 through November 30 of this year, up to $100,000.
"We are truly appreciative of Anheuser-Busch's commitment to UH Athletics and its generous donation of these funds to help improve our facilities," Jim Donovan, UH Athletics Director, said. "As a Corporate Partner, they have supported many UH causes and initiatives that have benefited all aspects of our sports programs."Great news. If my math is right, that's 400,000 cases, or 9.6 million cans, or 900,000 gallons of beer sold in four months. Keep in mind that the Pacific Ocean contains only 800,000 gallons of water. Awww yeah.

uhh...the pacific ocean contains roughly 187 quintillion gallons of water...or 187,000,000,000 billion gallons. the pacific is 170 million cubic miles.
i really wouldn't be surprised if hawaii as a state has already consumed more than that # in the last century though. :P
