"Our defensive line, they're one of the best defensive lines in the league, I feel, and they've done a great job in keeping guys off of me and letting me make a lot of plays," Elimimian said after being name the WAC's co-defensive player of the year. "So I'm definitely blessed."Kaneshiro also has an injury update:
McMackin said running back/slotback Kealoha Pilares is expected to practice tomorrow after sitting out last week's win over Washington State with a foot injury. He said safety Erik Robinson will also return from a hamstring injury. Mouton also missed the game with a sprained ankle.And Stephen Tsai talks to the first-teamers. Here's a quote from Ryan Mouton:
"I talked to the trainers and they're working really hard to get Mouton back," McMackin said.
Mouton has played cornerback, nickelback and free safety this season, as well as returned kickoffs. He emerged as the Warriors' best cover defender and blitzer. For two games, he was UH's best slotback.UPDATE: Leila Wai interviewed Elimimian and Adam Leonard about receiving their awards.
"It feels good," he said of the honor. "It's a testament to the coaches. They helped me get to that level of play."
