Hawaii Drops to #13 in Coaches Poll (#14 in AP, #13 in Harris)
Bumped with release of Harris poll.
Despite a great win on the road, Hawaii drops one spot to #13 in the USA Today Coaches Poll. USC, which had a bye, jumps UH. Boise drops two spots to #17. Not a good way to start the morning!
UPDATE: UH drops one spot to #14 in the AP poll. While this poll isn't part of the BCS rankings, it's still influential. Not a good trend.
UPDATE 2: Wow. Hawaii drops two spots to #13 in the Harris Poll (PDF). UH gets leapfrogged by idle Texas and idle USC. I'm wondering if people realize the Warriors won the game.
UPDATE 3: Here's an HTML version of the Harris Poll.

With Hawaii and Boise State both dropping you almost have to wonder if the Sugar Bowl is influencing SEC coaches to vote aginst the WAC Teams so they dont get stuck having to take the WAC Champ;ion. Its crazy that both dropped after last week. Sad to say it looks like a 12-0 Hawaii will be playing at home against a mediocre CUSA team like Memphis or Southern Miss. :(

You might be right. There probably is a lot of influencing going on with the Human polls. To keep Hawaii and Boise out of the BCS picture this year. They don't want to let what happen last year with Boise beating Oklahoma. For them it's all about a BCS school or none.

i don't know what the heck is going on. but to look on the bright side, usc has to play arizona state, oregon should lose at least one of their last two games... i'm sure there's other things we can be slightly happy about..

Yeah that's right that the AP is not actually used for the BCS rankings, I have heard that the voters for the Coaches and Harris Polls sometimes refer to the AP poll to determine their voting.
