Mouse, McMackin, Hugh

Mouse Davis is now officially the offensive coordinator at Portland State, joining Jerry Glanville.

Dave Reardon writes that Greg McMackin is not necessarily interviewing for the defensive coordinator job at UH.
(June) Jones said McMackin is not up for the defensive coordinator's opening, because Jones plans to fill the two open staff positions before deciding who the coordinator will be later.

"He is one of three people interviewing for an assistant coach's position," Jones said. "There is no defensive coordinator interviewing yet."

Assuming McMackin joins the staff, he would then likely become a candidate for the coordinator's position.
Maybe it's June's way of leveling the playing field? In any case, having McMackin and Reinebold on the same staff would be a plus for the defense. And that just may be the case, as Reardon continues:
(Mouse) Davis quashed speculation that Reinebold would leave UH for the title of defensive coordinator at Portland State.

"I think he's pretty much locked in (at Hawaii)," Davis said of Reinebold.
Right on.

Season ticket renewals begin on Monday. Does this mean the people renewing their tickets will know who UH is playing? We'll find out!

And finally, from yesterday, Ferd Lewis praises Hugh Yoshida in order to bury Herman Frazier. Ouch! I don't wanna piss Ferd off.
