Timmy Chang Update

Former Warrior Timmy Chang recently signed with the Hamilton Tiger-Cats of the CFL. He spoke to Steve Milton of The Hamilton Spectator about it.
Chang needs time to develop, though, simply because he hasn't played much since leaving Hawaii in 2004. Undrafted, he tried out with the NFL Cardinals and was cut, got five pre-season appearances with the Eagles last year, and quarterbacked the NFL Europe's Rhein Fire last winter.

"Probably the wrong place at the wrong time," Chang explained.

The Canadian game, though, might be the right place at the right time, and that intrigues him.

"Three downs puts the offence in a bind in some ways but it has its advantages too with all the motion," he said. "In college, I threw the ball 90 per cent of the time. The defence knew what was coming, we knew what was coming and we still had success.

"I'm very excited, I can't express enough gratitude to the staff for bringing me up there."
Good luck to Timmy!

UPDATE: Here's an Advertiser article from today regarding the signing.
"He's is a guy who did incredible things in college and has had success at the professional level," said Hamilton general manager Marcel Desjardins in a statement. "With Tim's addition, the quarterback position is now a position of strength for our team and will help us achieve success.

"After speaking with Tim on the phone, he conveyed that he's very excited at the opportunity to come to Hamilton and of course we're thrilled to have him here."
