GameDay - Hawaii vs. BSU
Looks like it'll be a wet game, with chances of flash flooding on Oahu. Perhaps the Pack the House promotion won't be enough to counter the threat of dampness, but we'll see. I'm worried about how this will affect the game. Hawaii's offense is pass-oriented while BSU can do both but is better on the ground. Hopefully Colt Brennan and the receivers have some experience playing with wet balls.
This Star-Bulletin article has an overview of today's matchup, with a focus on BSU's offense and their tendency to try trick plays. Jerry Glanville has an idea of how to stop them:
UH safety Landon Kafentzis probably has a better idea:
Both the Advertiser and the Star-Bulletin highlight the matchup of BSU's "Chameleon" offense against Hawaii's old school 3-4 defense.
Also, Stephen Tsai talks about how UH is jealous of BSU's WAC success.
The Garden Island's KauaiWorld.com has an article about Hawaii's desire for vengeance.
The Idaho Statesman has an article about BSU's desire to be undefeated in the WAC again, along with keys to the game and a bunch of other articles.
Should be a good game. I'll be liveblogging too!

"They're so good we're going to try to sneak a 12th (player) in. We're looking to play with 12, 13 or 14," defensive coordinator Jerry Glanville said. "With our new fronts I don't think they'll notice we have more people."
UH safety Landon Kafentzis probably has a better idea:
Kafentzis said the Warriors need to set the tone early defensively with hard hitting, as they did against Idaho.
"A lot of it is attitude. We came out and we were flat last year. One thing led to another and before we knew it they had a bunch of points on us. A lot of it is just attitude. It'll be different this year," he said. "This year we're attacking a lot more. We're not waiting. We're going after them. We're trying to punish people. And that's how defense should be."
