WitP: Colt Brennan

Jason Reid of the Washington Post has this post-draft note about Colt Brennan's standing with the Redskins.
The trading of Jason Campbell seems to bode well for quarterback Colt Brennan. When the team acquired Donovan McNabb, Brennan looked to be the odd man out, but he's now the No. 3 quarterback on the depth chart. While last year's coaching staff seemed prepared to give up on
Brennan, the turnover might have given him new life in Washington. It sounds like Mike Shanahan has seen something on film that intrigues him, and he'll likely be using the minicamps and OTAs to take a closer look. Still, it shouldn't surprise if Shanahan takes a flyer on
another young quarterback for the No. 3 job.

Jason Reid writes, "The trading of Jason Campbell seems to bode well for quarterback Colt Brennan. While it's safe to assume McNabb is #1 at QB, Shanahan has said all positions will be competed for-- the BLANK DEPTH CHART should speak for itself!

Except for McNabb, it looks like the rest of the QB's will be competing for spots 2 and 3-- and this is confirmed in this Colt Brennan interview:

The Skins may pick up even more QBs with UDFA status...but I am rooting for Colt and liking his chances better this year than any other so far.

Colt is finally healthy, something that he hasn't been since the beginning of his senior year at UH. Hopefully he'll turn heads again during camp and pre-season. C of C!!!
